How to create a MySQL connection
First of all if you don't have mySQL yet and
want to check it out download it here (mySQL Community Server, all platforms).
It will try to let you register a lot of information about yourself but you can also save time by clicking "No thanks, just take me to the downloads" at the bottom of the page.
When you have installed mySQL you will also need to download the mySQL JDBC Driver (http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/connector/j/)
also referred to as Connector/J.
After downloading the zipfile copy the jar-file (mysql-connector.5.1.17-bin.jar or higher) to the {SERVOY_INSTALL}/application_server_drivers/ folder. Next restart Servoy and in the Solution Explorer
right-click the Database Resources node and create a new database connection based on MySQL:
